A resolution calling upon the Canadian Government to take steps toward ending racial discrimination in housing was adopted here by the Canadian Federation of Mayors and Municipalities.

The resolution calls upon the Government to amend the National Housing Act so as to withhold further loans to “offenders,” refuse further loans or guarantees to those practicing racial discrimination in housing, and to prosecute offenders.

A copy of the resolution was sent to the Canadian Jewish Congress by Mayor S. L. Buckwold, of Saskatoon, president of the Federation, and George S. Mooney, the organization’s executive director.
