Dr. Eugene V. Parsonnet will for the second consecutive year lead the United Jewish Appeal of Essex County as general chairman of the 1961 campaign. His acceptance of the re-appointment was announced today by Leo Yanoff, president of the Jewish Community Council.
A well-known surgeon, Dr. Parsonnet is a trustee of the New Jersey chapter of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Council of the Academy of Medicine of New Jersey and a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery. He was a commander in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy in World War II, and served in the South Pacific.
