The Casablanca Municipal Council has been urged to act to assure freedom of movement in Morocco for Jews who are again confronted with passport difficulties.

Maati Bouabib, president of the council, gave assurance that serious consideration would be given to the problem and that everything possible would be done to see that Jews were not discriminated against. Bouabib is a former Minister of Labor.

Two Jewish members of the council, Max Loeub and Meyer Toledano, reported to the council on the problem of general restrictions of movement in Morocco and its effect on the movement of Moroccan Jews.
