Forty rabbis from France and Algeria, headed by Grand Rabbi Jacob Kaplan, opened a three-day conference here today, to discuss various organizational and religious matters. One of the items on the agenda concerns plans for attracting more professing Jews in metropolitan France toward synagogue membership.
