U.S. Govt. Names Mountain in Alaska After Late Senator Neuberger

The Government has named a mountain in Alaska in honor of the late Jewish Senator Richard L. Neuberger of Oregon. The Board of Geographic Names of the Department of the Interior announced that it had named a 6,747-foot peak after Senator Neuberger, upon the joint request of Interior Secretary Fred A. Seaton, the Alaskan members of Congress and the Alaskan Legislature.
