During the 15-year period from July 1, 1945 to June 30, 1960, Israel received from the United States only $1, 000, 000 in cash funds for military assistance, figures disclosed here today by the International Cooperation Administration established. No military personnel whatever was sent to Israel by the United States, the ICA report showed.
Israel’s closest neighbors among the Arab countries received much greater military aid in cash, the report showed. Iraq got $46,100, 000; Jordan received $17, 600, 000; and Lebanon was given $8, 700, 000. Like Israel, none of these countries received any American military personnel. Egypt and Syria are not listed as recipients of any military aid.
