A bill to abolish exit visas for Israeli’s traveling abroad was submitted to the Knesset today by Minister of the Interior Moshe Shapira.
Under the present law, all but Israeli diplomatic personnel and other Israelis traveling abroad in the Government service must apply for visas and wait at least two weeks, during which their records are checked in regard to payment of income taxes or possible, pending court proceedings.
