Rabbi Julius Mark, of Temple Emanu-El, New York, was elected president of the Synagogue Council of America here tonight at the final plenary session of the program year held at the Olcott Hotel.

The Synagogue Council of America is the national coordinating agency of the rabbinic and congregational organizations of Orthodox, Conservative and Reform Jewry. It comprises the Rabbinical Assembly of America, United Synagogue of America, Rabbinical Council of America, Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, Central Conference of American Rabbis, Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
