Brandeis University Awards Degrees to Jewish Leaders; Honors Sen, Humphrey

Honorary degrees were conferred here upon two prominent American Jewish leaders and upon a number of other personalities, including U.S. Senator Hubert H. Humphrey, of Minnesota, as Brandeis University held its tenth annual commencement exercises.

During the exercises, Dr. Abram L. Sachar, president of Brandeis, awarded graduate and bachelors degree to 300 men and women students of the university.

Among the recipients of honorary degrees were Abraham A. Feinberg, president of the Israel Bond Organization; and Dr. Maurice B. Hexter, executive vice-president of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York City.
