U.N. Sends U.S. Expert to Help Israel Train Social Welfare Personnel

A.C. Abrahamson, Associate professor of social work at the University of Washington at Seattle, has been assigned by the United Nations to assist the Government of Israel in the establishment of an in-service and on-the-job training program for all levels of social welfare personnel in Israel, it was announced here today by the United Nations Technical Assistance program.

According to the announcement, he will assist the Institute for Training in the Israeli Ministry of Social Welfare in formulating and developing long-term staff training programs, and training a corps of staff officers on the techniques of teaching and supervision.
