Mapai, Israel’s Labor Party, was represented today when the tenth congress of the Liberal International opened here, with 200 delegates present from nine countries. Other countries represented are Belgium, Britain, Canada, West Germany. The Netherlands, Italy, Denmark and Sweden.
The opening session heard a report on “The Liberal Initiative in the World of Today and Tomorrow,” compiled by a working committee headed by Giovanni Malagodi, secretary-general of the Italian Liberal Party.
