Israel Minister of Commerce Arrives in Tanganyika; Heads Mission

Pinhas Sapir, Israel’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, arrived here today as head of a four-man mission to explore the possibilities of Israeli-Tanganyikan cooperation in various fields.

Other members are U. Nedivi, deputy director of the economic division of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Dr. N. Wydra, director of the Zim Israel Company, and Y. Shur, director of Solel Boneh, construction arm of the Histadrut, Israel’s Federation of Labor.

The four Israeli officials were warmly greeted at the airport by Nsilo Swai, Tanganyikan Minister of Commerce and Industry and other Tanganyikan officials. Other Israeli officials, headed by Rafael Ruppin, Israel’s Minister to Tanganyika, also were at the airport to greet the mission, which plans to leave on October 19.
