J.N.F. Conference in Los Angeles Adopts $1,500,000 Goal; Honors Swig

The 30th annual conference of the Jewish National Fund of the Greater Western area, attended by about 2,000 delegates, concluded here today with the adoption of a $1,500,000 goal. Benjamin H. Swig was installed as president for the area.

At a pre-gift dinner, the sum of $176,000 was raised towards the JNF 20-Year Development Program, Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt participated in the pre-gifts dinner. At a similar dinner in San Francisco, at which Mr. Swig was honored, the sum of $30,000 was raised.
