A six-man Israeli Parliamentary delegation arrived here today and was welcomed at the airport by M. Montala, first vice-president of the French Parliament. The Israeli legislators were later received by the Mayor of Paris at the centuries-old Hotel de Ville, and by the French Municipal Council. The Mayor, a recent visitor to Israel, hailed Israel’s democracy as the only one in the Middle East and lauded Israel’s parliamentary procedures.

Chaban Delmas, the president of the French National Assembly, was host at a luncheon. Later the delegates attended a session of the French Parliament. The delegation then visited the Memorial to the Unknown Jewish Martyr where an exhibit dedicated to the Warsaw Ghetto revolt, was opened two days ago. During the two-week visit, the delegation will meet with Premier Michel Debre and Foreign Minister Maurice Couve de Murville.
