The Israel Government has agreed to meet the wage demands of Israel public school teachers, thus ending the threat of a nation-wide teachers strike, it was announced today.
All teachers will receive more pay according to the academic degrees they hold and their seniority status. The agreement climaxed more than a year of negotiations involving the Finance and Education Ministries. It was approved last night by the Teachers Union Council.
