The accusations in “Trud” against Israeli diplomats in Moscow and against religious Jews in the synagogues were condemned today in a statement at the Hadassah conference now taking place in New York. The statement was made by Mrs. Herman Shulman, former president of Hadassah, in the course of her address at the conference.

The American Jewish Congress, similarly condemned the charges made in Moscow and described them as “another step in their relentless Soviet campaign to destroy the last remaining links between Jews in the Soviet Union and their co-religionists in other parts of the world.” The AJCongress statement was issued by Will Maslow, executive director of the organization.
