More than a third of a million dollars for the Jerusalem YMHA is already in hand and construction of the project will begin shortly, Sanford Solender, executive vice-president of the National Jewish Welfare Board of New York, told the press here today.

The JWB official said that the building would be finished before the end of 1962. Before the press conference, newsmen viewed the site of the project and Mayor Moroechai Ish Shalom expressed the thanks of the municipality and of the youth of the city. He said the project would be invaluable in integrating Israeli youth from various backgrounds and a great contribution to the sports and athletic facilities of Israel’s capital city.
