The last Jewish institution in the Greater Lawndale section of Chicago, a once-thriving Jewish section often referred to as the “Jerusalem of Chicago,” moved out of the neighborhood today. The Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago moved to now offices. Last year, the Chicago Jewish Academy quit the area.
