Jewish Philanthropist Grants $500,000 to New York U. Medical Center

A grant of $500, 000 by David Schwartz, prominent Jewish industrialist, to finance the construction of an internal medicine pavillion at the New York University Medical Center, was announced here today by Samuel D. Leidesdorf, chairman of the center. The pavillion, which will have 34 beds in 18 rooms, will be named for David and Irene Schwartz.

The grant will be made by the David Schwartz Foundation. The foundation also announced today a gift of $100, 000 to Tufts University in Boston.
