Rabbi David H. Hill was elected today to a second term as president of the National Council of Young Israel at the closing session of the four day Golden Jubilee of the orthodox group.
The delegates approved a resolution calling for a special committee to study a specific Young Israel program for Israel in addition to its long-time assistance to the Jewish State. In another resolution, the delegates urged an appeal to Mayor Wagner for an Israel Independence Day parade on Fifth Avenue similar to the annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade.
