The five-day 17th annual convention of B’nai B’rith Young Adults opened here yesterday, with more than 100 delegates from various countries attending the sessions. The group is a constituent division of the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization.

In his opening address, Robert Levison, of Montreal, the 23-year-old president of the organization, called for an international “conscience campaign” by young people to help raise money to meet the United Nations’ current operating debts. “Admittedly, such efforts would merely be a drop in the financial bucket, “he said, “but they might help to sting the conscience of nations who either refuse to pay their full United Nations assessments, or who have been dragging their feet in connection with the purchase of emergency bonds.”
