The Farband Laber Zionist Ordet today presented its Award for Distinguished Service to Dr. Horace M. Kallen, professor of political and social science at the New School for Social Research, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
The citation was presented at the Farband summer camp here by Meyer L. Brown, president of the organization. Prof. Kallen is active in Jewish affairs and deeply interested in promoting Jewish education. He is the author of numerous books on Judaism, Zionism, and education.
