A budget totaling $1,285,000 was adopted here today by the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America to meet the needs of the organization’s child care, social service and vocational training programs in Israel and to finance its educational and cultural activities in the United States during the coming year. The budget was approved at the 37th annual national convention here of the religious women’s Zionist organization.

The largest allocation in the budget, $475,000, is earmarked for the maintenance and expansion of children’s villages and youth centers in Israel caring for youngsters brought to Israel under the supervision of Youth Aliyah. Another $325, 000 will be spent for vocational training and education in the five high schools sponsored by Mizrachi Women. Included in this allocation is $125,000 for equipping the Beersheba Vocational High School for Girls, which will open next month.

Principal speakers at the convention included Israel Ambassador Avraham Harman; Moshe Kol, world director of Youth Aliyah; and Rabbi Mordecai Kirshblum, president of the Religious Zionists of America. Mrs. Eli Resnikoff, of Brooklyn, was elected unanimously to the national presidency of the organization. She succeeds Mrs. Moses Dyckman, who was named to the honorary post of past national president.
