Mayor Robert F, Wagner has proclaimed the week of October 22-28 as “Hebrew High School Week” as a tribute to the educational achievements of the Jewish community of New York City. The proclamation will be issued formally tomorrow in City Hall ceremonies to be attended by Jules L. Freed, president of the Jewish Education Committee of Greater New York, sponsor of the observance.

In his proclamation, the Mayor lauded the city’s Hebrew high schools for the opportunities they offer “Jewish youngsters of our city to imbibe the eternal verities of an age-old faith as presented in the framework of the American way of life.”
