Israel Defeats Arabs at Travel Agency Parley, Elects Vice-president

Against Arab opposition, Israel today won two victories at the fourth annual conference of the International Union of Travel Agencies here An Israeli, Bernard Weinberg was elected vice-president, despite solid opposition by the Arab bloc.

Next, the delegation from Lebanon proposed that the 1963 conference be held in Beirut Israel protested against that proposal on the grounds that no Israeli would be able to attend sessions of the Union in the Lebanese capital. The conference then voted to hold the 1963 gathering at Budapest.
