Rabbi Morris A. Sandhaus, newly appointed chief of the chaplain service of the United States Veterans Administration, was honored here today at the fall meeting of the board of directors of the National Jewish Welfare Board, when he was awarded a special scroll by Solomon Litt, president of the JWB. Rabbi Sandhaus is the first Jewish chief of any of the Federal Government’s chaplaincy.
