Medallions Commemorating Ecumenical Council Sent to Ben-zvi by Pope

President Ben-Zvi has received from Pope John XXIII a gift of a series of medallions, coined by the Vatican to commemorate the opening of the Ecumenical Council, his office disclosed today.

They were given to Israel’s Ambassador in Rome, Maurice Fischer, who headed the Israeli delegation at the Council’s opening ceremonies. He sent the mementos to the President.
