Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Britain Named to Teach at Seminary in New York

Dr. Solomon Gaon, chief rabbi of the Sephardic congregations of the British Commonwealth, has been appointed a visiting professor of practical rabbinics at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University, it was announced here today by Dr. Samuel Belkin, university president. Dr. Gaon is due to arrive in this country this week for a three-month visit. He will be one of the guest speakers at the 64th anniversary national biennial convention of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America to be held November 21-25 in Washington, D.C.
