Dropsie College Announces Fellowships for Graduate Students

The Dropsie College today announced for the academic year 1963-1964, fellowships ranging to $1,000. These are available to qualified graduate students who are candidates for advanced degrees in Hebrew and interrelated Semitic disciplines, education, and in the language and area studies of the modern and contemporary Middle East.

The curriculum offered by the College includes Biblical Literature, Rabbinic Literature, Hebrew Language and Literature, Semitic Languages, Islamic Studies, History, Philosophy, Assyriology, Comparative Religion, Education and the language and area studies of the modern Middle East. Applications should be submitted before March 15. Students may also apply for fellowships in Modern Arabic and Hebrew under Title VI of the National Defense Education Act. These applications must be submitted before January 31, 1963.
