Actress Elizabeth Bergner, who as a Jewess was forced to leave Germany when the Nazis came to power, was today awarded the 1962 Schiller Prize. The audience at the ceremonies at which she was cited gave her an enthusiastic ovation. The prize carries 10, 000 Deutschmarks ($2, 500).
