Dr. Robert Dreyfuss, Chief Rabbi of the Department of Moselle, France, has been appointed Chief Rabbi of Belgium, the Belgian Central Jewish Consistory announced here today. Born in France, Dr. Dreyfuss served as rabbi in Brussels from 1948 to 1955. The Belgian Jewish community has been without a Chief Rabbi for many years.
