Dr. Haber Elected Dean of College at University of Michigan

Dr. William Haber, until now head of the economics department at the University of Michigan here, was elected dean of this state university’s largest undergraduate division, the College of Literature, Science and the Arts.

A six-member faculty committee selected Prof. Haber from a list of 70 candidates. Dr. Harlan Hatcher, president of the university, announced that Dr. Haber will be installed in his new office on July 1. Prof. Haber, who Joined the university faculty in 1936, is international president of ORT, and has been extremely active in many other Jewish causes on the domestic and international levels.
