Henry Magnus Butzel, who was president of the United Jewish Charities of Detroit and member from Michigan of the United Jewish Committee, died here Friday, at the age of 92. He had served as a justice of the Michigan Supreme Court until his retirement in 1955.

Mr. Butzel was elected to the Court in 1930 and was re-elected the following year. He served for 26 years on the bench and was Chief Justice from 1931 to 1932. He was twice elected to the presidency of the Detroit Bar Association.
