A court in Graz acquitted Franz Murer today of charges that he personally murdered around 25 Jewish men, women and children during the Nazi occupation of Poland. The Russians had tried and condemned him to 25 years’ imprisonment but released him to Austria when the peace treaty was signed. He was arrested again two years ago in Austria.
