Duquesne U. Buys $25,000 in Israel Bonds As Tribute to Jewish ‘brothers’

Duquesne University, the oldest Catholic university in Pennsylvania and one of Pittsburgh’s major educational institutions, has purchased $25, 000 in State of Israel Bonds, The purchase was announced here today by Jacob Wolk, general chairman of the Pittsburgh Committee for State of Israel Bonds.

Commenting on the purchase, the Rev. Henry J. McAnulty, president of the university, said that “we are all children of God and therefore should be concerned with each other. This Bond purchase is concrete proof of our concern for those who need assistance. Our Jewish brethren are staunch supporters of the university. This investment is an expression of our respect for our Jewish brothers here and in Israel.”
