Youth Aliyah Holds 30th Anniversary World Conference in Israel

Moshe Kol, world head of Youth Aliyah, declared at the 30th anniversary world conference here that the organization was preparing to care for 25,000 wards “from three centers” in other countries.

He reported that during the 30 years of its existence. Youth Aliyah had helped bring into the country and absorb more than 110,000 youth. The opening session was attended by Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament and of the Jewish Agency executive and several hundred overseas visitors representing organizations in various countries supporting Youth Aliyah programs, as well as representatives of international childcare organizations.

Deputy Premier Abba Eban greeted the assembly on behalf of the Government. He said the Youth Aliyah mission was not ended and called the organization a “remarkable enterprise even within its extraordinary context” of the past three revolutionary decades.
