The showing of the film “Exodus” which was scheduled in a number of Turkish theaters, has been canceled as a result of Arab pressure, it was reported here today.

It is understood that Arab diplomats approached the Turkish Foreign Ministry and offered to ban the film “Lawrence of Arabia,” which they characterized as “anti-Turkish.” if the Turkish authorities would cancel the showing of “Exodus.” While the Government has not yet ruled on a ban, it has asked the Turkish theaters to withdraw their announcements of “Exodus.”
