Canadian Jewish Congress today sent a telegram to Guy Favreau, Canada’s Minister of Justice, stressing that the recent distribution anti-Jewish propaganda in Toronto “patently” incites to genocidal actions.”

The CJC requested the Minister to give study and to take action within the Criminal Code on the specific basis of incitement to violent actions. It added that this spread of hate materials also offers other grounds for serious remedial steps. The Postmaster General, the Hon. J. R. Nicholson, was advised of submission by the Jewish Congress and both Ministers were asked for an early meeting to discuss the issue further.
