World Council of Churches Expresses Concern over Fate of Soviet Jews

The World Council of Churches, currently in session here, expressed concern today about the fate of the Jews in Russia.

The Council noted the memorandum submitted recently to the Soviet Embassy in Rome by the European Conference of Rabbis on the problem. The bulletin of the Council also noted the 70th birthday of Moscow Chief Rabbi Yehuda Leib Levine and his 40 years of service to his community.
