The 104 Yeshiva students who were convicted last month of criminal trespass in a demonstration at a Catholic mission in Jerusalem last year, chose today to serve prison terms rather than pay fines.
They were sentenced to fines ranging from 25 pounds ($8.33) to 100 pounds ($33), or to terms of up to 15 days. The penalties become effective tomorrow. The students plan to assemble in the Orthodox Mea Shearim quarter of Jerusalem and march in a body to police headquarters to surrender.
