The Hebrew University yesterday formally opened its new Department of Musicology in the presence of the famed American pianist, Artur Ruben-stein. The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra has endowed a chair in honor of Mr. Rubenstein, who always refused to accept fees for his many appearances with the orchestra.
