A Council of Christians and Jews comprising leading Catholic, Protestant and Jewish clergymen, has been established here, it was announced here today by Rabbi Henrique Lemle. The purpose of the Council will be to conduct educational activities aimed at combatting racial and religious discrimination and persecution and will promote understanding between the various religious groups.
