Dr. Ewald Bucher, West German Justice Minister, said during a television discussion that he was opposed to amnesty for Nazi criminals but that he also was against legislation to amend the West German statute of limitations; The code provides that a person may be tried for murder within 20 years of the crime. What is now being proposed in West Germany is an extension of the period to 30 years.
