The Western Region of the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities approved a resolution asking the Provincial Government to examine all third class mail for hate propaganda.

Hubert L. Lynch, Yarmouth Deputy Mayor, who prepared the resolution, said that it also called on the Department of Justice in Ottawa “to take immediate action” to amend the federal criminal code to permit action to be taken “against those who spread racial hatred in our country.”
