Labor Party officials reported today that Marcus Lipton, a Jewish Laborite candidate, had been threatened with death if he did not withdraw his name from the election scheduled for Thursday, Some of Mr. Lipton’s campaign posters have been smeared with swastikas. He is a candidate in the London district of Brixton.
