A joint delegation of the Jewish Community of Chile and the Zionist Federation of Chile was received today by Chile’s new president-designate, Dr. Eduardo Frei.
The Jewish leaders pledged the full support of Chilean Jewry to the new president’s plans to extend and deepen Chilean social justice. Dr. Frei thanked the delegation for its pledge and said that he looked to the State of Israel for examples on means of carrying out his pledges. He said also he was pleased that Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, would head the Israeli delegation to his inauguration here, nest month.
