The Board of Rabbis of Northern California voted here today to ask congregations in this area to help raise funds for the rebuilding of churches destroyed in the South, to aid a welfare program for deprived Negroes and to help voter registration drives in the South.

Rabbi Joseph B. Glaser, the board’s action chairman, sent a letter today to presidents of all synagogues and temples in northern California, urging financial help to civil rights groups at work in the South, especially in Mississippi.
