A new border settlement of Israel’s northern frontier, near the Syrian and Jordanian borders, will be established at a cost of $2,000,000, it was announced here today by the Jewish National Fund Council of Greater Long Island. The announcement was made by Rabbi I. Usher Kirshblum, newly elected president of the Council.

A drive to raise the $2,000,000 over a five-year period will be started immediately, Rabbi Kirhblum said. Representatives of Zionist and other Jewish organizations in the Greater Long Island area attended the meeting where the plans for the drive were formulated and approved unanimously.
