Shrine Housing Dead Sea Scrolls Formally Opened in Jerusalem

The Shrine of the Book, housing the famed Dead Sea Scrolls and the Bar Kochba Scrolls was formally opened here today in the presence of President Zalman Shazar, and other dignitaries. The Shrine was named for the Gottesman family of New York, who made the acquisition of the Dead Sea Scrolls possible.
