Queen Juliana Confers High Honor on Prominent Jews in Holland

Queen Juliana of The Netherlands today conferred high honors on a number of prominent Dutch Jews, in celebration of her 57th birthday, when she honored other citizens of this country.

The Knighthood in the Order of the Dutch Lion was conferred upon Prof. J.A. van Praag, of the Amsterdam Community University, a scholar in Spanish literature. An officer ship in the Order of Nassau Orange was awarded to Dr. Abel Herzberg, lawyer, author, and former president of the Dutch Zionist Organization. Similar honors were conferred upon Max Tak, Jewish journalist; actress Caro van Eyk; H.A. Gompert, Jewish journalist and literary figure; and several well-known Jewish attorneys.
